The palletization provided by your presort software is pretty good, but it
still results in hundreds of loose containers that could not be assigned
to pallets due to minimum pallet requirements for weight, container count,
etc. That's because your presort software works on only one job at a time.
These loose containers cost you money. They're inefficient to handle, they take up
valuable space on the production floor, and because they're not usually good candidates for
drop shipping, you end up paying postage at Origin rates. Ouch!
PALLETdb to the Rescue!
PALLETdb is designed to enable users of the MAILdb
system to quickly and efficiently create pallets from loose containers scattered across multiple jobs
... and then automatically update the MAILdb database with the new pallet information.
The pallets created by PALLETdb aren't the so-called "convenience" pallets that you may
be currently dealing with; they're in full compliance with all U.S.P.S. standards for pallet preparation
and are therefore eligible for the appropriate drop-ship discounts.
PALLETdb does not disturb already-palletized mail. It concerns itself only
with loose containers.
Like all Monticello Software products, PALLETdb is designed for the production environment.
With PALLETdb you can:
Select the Mail
Normally, the whole point of copalletization is to examine all the loose containers
across several different jobs simultaneously, taking advantage of the increased volumes
offered by multiple jobs in order to construct pallets that conform to both U.S.P.S and
your own internal standards for pallet preparation.
With PALLETdb, it's a snap. Just select the jobs you want to copalletize
and go!
But sometimes you need more control. Sometimes you need to include only specific
portions of certain jobs. PALLETdb makes it easy. Just click to select segments,
currently-assigned entry points, trucks, even individual containers ... from one job
or many jobs.
You need flexibility ...
...PALLETdb provides it.
