Partial
Releases

Why is it Important to Manage Partial Releases?

For many mailers, the presort job run on the computer does not accurately reflect the way the mail is actually released into the postal system.

For example:

The presort run may
have included one-million
name-and-address records.
But ... On Monday the print/production
facility actually processes
only 350,000 pieces.

The statements produced by
the presort software reflect
all one-million pieces and
cannot be used.
So ... The mailer has to manually
produce statements to include
only the 350,000 pieces
being released that day.

This is very costly in terms of manpower
and it causes bottlenecks in production!

POSTAGEdb Eliminates the Problem

Now you can quickly select exactly which mail you want to release and instantly produce the necessary postage statements.

3602's, 3605's, 3541's, 3600's and 8125's can be viewed on-line and printed immediately.

You can wait until the end of a production shift and then produce the statements for what was actually produced. No need to estimate in advance what will be completed. And you no longer need to be concerned if production problems change your estimates.

If you prefer, you can "pre-select" release groups. Changes can easily be made to modify the release groups at any time.

Just Click to Select the Mail
that is Ready to Go

You can click to select groups of pallets, sacks or trays. Change "views" and you can select entire entry points, trucks or even segments/batches.

Different selection levels can be used in a single session so you can, for example, select various pallets, entry points and trucks for a release group. You can then review the group that has been selected for release and de-select any of the mail that was selected in error. You can also produce statements for the entire mailing or for individual piece types.

Save production time and manpower costs with POSTAGEdb!
